Stayed in a bungalow with a dining area, felt like I was in a fancy restaurant. The shared lounge and garden were perfect for pretending I was a posh lady on vacation.
Oh, what a shame, the terrace was so lovely that I didn't want to leave. But alas, I had to go.

I loved staying at a place with ancient facilities, rotting toilet blocks, and unsightly fridges. The highlight was definitely the cozy hut with minimal bedding and the joy of stripping my own bed. So worth the price!
Oh, the joy of self-service towels! I never got to meet the staff and it was such a delight not to have any towels in my room.

The location was absolutely jaw-dropping, surrounded by trees and a creek where we spotted a platypus. The cute little cottage with power and heating made us feel super comfortable and warm. The notes on the walls filled with positive phrases from past guests added a calming touch. The bathrooms were neat and clean, and the reception window notes helped us get our keys easily. The manager was incredibly kind and even gave us an upgrade during the off-peak season. The well-kept grounds were a lovely surprise, with a cafe and take-away food nearby. The helpful staff provided great advice and the facilities, including the new shower and toilet facilities, were mind-blowing. We enjoyed sitting outside in the picnic area, soaking up the sun and hoping for another glimpse of the platypus. The caretaker, Geoff, made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. we had a super positive experience and highly recommend this place!

The location was great, with easy access to nature and affordable prices. The shared bathrooms were convenient, no need to wait in line. The manager was kind and helpful, offering advice and allowing an upgrade. The grounds were well-kept, and there were nearby amenities such as a cafe and takeaway food, and a bottle shop for those who drink.
The check-in process was inconvenient, as the keys were left in the mailbox, and we never had the chance to meet the staff or get towels for our room. The rooms were small, not soundproof, and lacked proper locking mechanisms.

The A Frame huts were fabulous - very comfy and clean. the bathrooms were spotless and in good condition. Staff were lovely and helpful. Bonus: saw platypus in the small creek on the property.
Felt safe walking at night, no complaints.

Loved the cozy cabins with comfy beds, great showers, and the layout that encourages mingling with fellow guests. Who needs Wi-fi anyway? So glad I got lost finding reception. Great adventure!
Who needs staff anyway? Left keys in mailbox, never met them, never got towels.

I got amazing value for my money at Bumpy's place. The room was huge and I had it all to myself! The location was perfect, close to the beach and esplanade. Bumpy, the caretaker, was so friendly and made sure I felt welcome and safe.
The morning meal could have been better with more variety.

I had a wonderful stay at Strahan Backpackers. The location was perfect, nestled among trees and a peaceful creek where I was lucky enough to spot Platypus. The double bed cottage I stayed in was adorable, with all the necessary amenities and lovely greetings written on the walls. The proximity to the main center was convenient, and even though reception was closed when I arrived, the notes on the window helped me with everything I needed. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, and there were multiple blocks conveniently located near all the accommodations.
The communal shower and toilet blocks were showing signs of wear and tear, and the kitchen appliances were old and unattractive. The bedding in the hut was minimal, and there wasn't much provided.
